I have used that trick teaching people how to drive stick when they are stopped on a slight incline. Engage the brake, release the clutch until it starts to grab and release the brake.

Nope, because if you read you manual it says not to tow with the SS. Unless you want to void you warenty, then by all means go for it.

Actually the tranny is the only part of my car I have yet to have any problems with the honestly.

A stick Cobalt SS kicked my automatic butt on the way to work this morning. I don't know if he was modded, or just because I have to have several hundred more pounds than he did.

My daughter has been borrowing my SS from time to time over the last couple months. Last week we bought her a PT Cruiser beater car. Her response: "Dad, I think there is something wrong with this car's engine - it is so slow and everyone around me is looking at me and wondering why I'm so slow". So relative to other cars, the HHR SS auto is still VERY fast. LOL.

Ok thats funny but my old 86 Lebaron vert turbo pushing 18psi was a fast sleeper. I bet if you raced me in an SS you'd be like WTF. I know because my stock SS and it would have been a fun race. :) I sure do miss the looks I'd get as I'd pull away from a V8 in a K car with wire hub caps. LOL

Ha funny! I had an 87 Lebaron turbo which was my 1st boosted car. That car was fun and if I knew then what I know now, it would have been much more fun!

I owned a K car once. What a POS that was! It wasn't boosted, so it was a dog. And when I accelerated, the air conditioning shut down because it didn't have enough power to do both. So if you were going up a long hill, it got real hot in that car during the summer!
