Ss build

Well lost compression on #3 on my 2008 ss so pics will come
Spec stage 2 clutch
Spec flywheel

Ebc drilled rotors
Ebc green stuff pads

Arp headstuds
Wiseco pistons

Work will start monday
Head machined

Go Red on the pads and it will have less dust and work as well or better.

I dunno about the head man. ZZP went back to the stock head on a stock turbo and still ran an 11.xx

But if youre going big turbo then for sure. In the mean time you will lose a little bit of power with a ported head on the stock turbo

What's the reason for this? I would think better flow + same flash = same power but better efficiency.

He will explain in more detail, my first guess is your still pushing same amount of air. you would actually be better off keeping head same and upping turbo for what your assuming. I am not positive, but I think the stock turbo is about out of steam with the current head....so bigger head is bad. Upping both is of course a great idea.

This is often done in error when building SBC V8 engines...many times too big of heads are put on.

Yes the stock head is more then enough for the stock turbo but since youre going big turbo then youre right on track man. Best of luck with the build . I was gonna build mine but im actually selling all the aftermarket stuff now and will be selling the car.
