Was the SS built on its own assembly line?
Hello, Yes I know they were all built under the same roof in Mexico.
But do you think they made a run on LT/LS models and shut the line down for re-tooling and then ran the SS line? Or did they mix them all in at ounce?

Probably the same line. If you've ever toured the Corvette assembly line, you'd see that every other vehicle is unique in options, color, trim level... the whole shootin' match. GM appears to be the master at building on demand.

I can confirm 1 line was used, and at times there were also Buick Rendezvous, Saturn Vue, Chevy Captiva, and Cadillac SRX on there with them (not at the same time). I was still at GM in Body ME back then.
Assembly lines are programmed.
Each vehicle has a barcode and as it goes from start to finish that vehicle is built.
Don't matter what model or in what order they are made.
Time is money.
