This not anything real new as the HHR will not make it past 2011 as it is.

GM needs to cut options and models till they get the money worked out. Also the car market is not going to recover this year. Even if GM did not have money issues they would need to cut back as times have not even come close to botttoming out in the auto industry yet.

Heck Toyota just lost near $8 Billion dollars, more than GM last quarter.

Panell SS no longer being produced, what next?

Just heard that the Panel HHR SS is done as of 2010. Same as the Cobalt SS Sedan and G6 GXP. What's next I wonder?

Any slow moving or very low volume models and options are on the block. GM is moving to more what the industry is doing and limiting variations to save money.

I must be like the black plague of the automotive industry. I bought an Olds - GM killed Olds. I bought a Pontiac - GM is killing Pontiac. I bought an HHR SS - GM is killing it.

It is a shame that GM is killing Cobalt SS and HHR SS. IMO for performance cars they are the best bang for the buck for any of the big 3. If I would have waited to get my HHR, it would have been a SS but there wasn't any rumors when I bought mine...

Don't worry as both cars were due for a replacment and are just at the end of their life cycles.

GM will still have performance in the future as good or better than we have now.

We have yet to see the end of perofrmance and Ecotech power.

Makes the SS rare, only a couple years of being made. I haven't seen any at the dealers recently.

Why the Impala? Those were sweet cars in an SS version!
