SS ordered and in production!

I have a 06 HHR, fully loaded but have had contuning problems w/ the back breaks... so much so that it's been in 9 times to be fixed and now i have GM doing a buy back on it... what a great time to upgrade to the SS. After lots of back and fourth w/ GM, its now finally ordered and on priority production. (Im told this may be the first one in So Cal as there is only one more on order!) got my letter in the mail yesterday letting me know it's been started. Unfortunately GM goes dark for the next 2 weeks because of the holiday. few things about the SS that you may want to know....
NO heated seat option (which i think is freggin crazy!)
MUST get the spoiler on it
Limited color options

BUT, im getting almost 100 HP more SO, im ready to roll! Anyone else out there get one or have plans to order?

once it arrives

Any direction on aftermarket stuff? I've found a great spot for emblem overlays to make the bowtie black as well as "smoke" the front light covers. Im still thinking of putting suicide doors on it but not right off the bat....
(and as far as a race to see who's first... they actually told me that mine may be one of the first off the line because of all the f@#$% ups on GM's part about my buyback SO.... the race is on.... )

I was at a local dealer in NE Ohio yesterday and asked about the SS. They said it was a regional thing and as of this time they couldn't even order one and had no prices even until Chevy gives the official say so for each region. Guess that explains why the west coast area gets the new cars first. Even when the HHR first came out, they were in Calif long before we seen them.

Your dealer is clueless. I live in southern MI, probably less than 100 mi from
your dealer and mine has been on order since late Nov and is scheduled to
be produced the week of Jan 7th. It is broadcast code 3400 which is the last
production code before 3800 which means produced.

As you wrote this I was thinking the same thing....his dealer is a ditz. Ohio IS IN THE SAME REGION AS MICHIGAN. I know of 2 on order there.....one on my GM Employee Discount (sponsored relative).
