Looks cool but stupid at the same time. Anybody that knows anything knows it's not true and that duals are for V-# motors. Definitely form over function.

They look fine and often sound better.

The bad is often the single pipe is less restrictive. When you split the flow it disrupts the flow.

Most 3rd and 4th gen F body cars would gain 7-10 HP with the single tail pipe over the duel outlet.

So Mr. Gas your ride looks good I can see you have made an investment in time and money to make it that way I suspose beauty is in the eye of the beholder your going to have to tell me how you switch those marker lights I ordered the twin rolled edge square tip stainless mufflers yesterday and plan on installing the pass side as a dummy to not endanger the warrentee till it expires so I should end up with less back pressure thru the operational side and my dealer says its ok to do Thanks for the Imput its nice to hear what other HHR owner think and have experienced

I like the duals and think it looks more expensive. Have Magnaflows and the custom shop in LA did it for a good price.

Haven't noticed any loss of power and the sound is deeper, more like a throaty v6, less like a raspy 4.

Yes the sound would be much better. Even a V8 sounds better with two. It is like Stereo and one of the few ways to get a 4 to sound better.

The HP loss we are speaking of can be 5-10 HP less and few people without a dyno can feel that.

First off, thanks. What exactly do you want to know about my marker lights? The corner markers? The front turns? Let me know and I'll tell ya what I can.

On the exhaust, there really truely isn't anything the MOCO can do about a cat back system. I wouldn't worry about doing a "dummy" side. Just hook it up fully and don't worry about it. Just be sure to post pics. You guys are really changing my mind on the duals. Looks nice on that other HHR above.

I must admit... That SS with duals does look slick. Very nice.

When I'm wrong I'm wrong, it looks better than I thought.

No, just don't have the time, but under acceleration it sounds like my wife's Infiniti, FX35 6 cyl, under deceleration it sounds good but a little bit like a 4.

I gave this a lot of thought and didn't want it to look or sound like a ricer, I wanted a factory look.

From inside the car it sounds good and strong, but mellow.

Actually the only thing I really dislike about the HHR SS is the sound of the motor from the engine bay. (not the exhaust) It's very tractor like at idle. Once running it's fine.

Oh the other thing I don't like is those big damn side mirrors. I'd like them a lot smaller.

Oh yea, third thing. Gold bow ties. What marketing flak thought up gold for the whole line of cars? Should have been silver with a slight black border.
