SS vs. Diamondback
SS vs. Diamondback
On July third, I took my SS, wife, 2 sons, a dog along with a cartop carrier and stuffed to the gills with vacation stuff up and down the Diamondback in NC. I'd love to do it solo, if not for the native handling and acceleration charagteristics, just to keep the screaming down.
Wowy Wow! This car rocked that road. I was pulling away from some crotch rockets at points, but I did slow and wave them around so they could have full fun. I had my wife take some video to keep her occupied, but my video computer is broke right now.
If you ever get your SS down there, make sure you make this run.

Been there on the bike. There really aren't many bad roads in the area. I am going down to TN this August, and will be passing into NC and thru the smokies. Sadly, I will be driving her car, which will not be much fun
We just haul too much crap to stuff it into mine.

Now thats a mouthful. Sounds like a real good run. Been it that area in 2000, in my 96 Impala SS, and loved the twisties. Mama told me countless times "slow it down, you're killing my neck".
We got some pretty wicked roads out here in Nor-cal, with some wild elevation changes, and really twisty roads. Cracked me up tho, back there a mountain to them, is just a small hill to us out here. "Moon"
