Now with the Trifecta tune I'm thinking of getting the rev limiter bumped up to 7k (to take advantage of the turbo they say it will flow to 7400 rpms), getting 1st gear limited to 10 psi (for traction) and the overall tune to 24 psi.

Any thought or ideas other than get a bigger turbo. I want to keep the stock looking turbo in case of warranty work.

Do you guys think with the help of Vince at Trifecta I could get close to 350 whp out of this? (350 whp is my goal). I know some people tried these turbo's back in 08/early 09 (with so so results), but we've had some good tuning advancements since then.

Opinions appreciated
I have everything youre thinking of except for the K04+ on my car and its all been on for about 10000 miles now with no issues and i have a custom hp tune on top of my stage kit. The only thing im replacing is the clutch as soon as i get my tax money. Honestly i wouldnt go with Trifecta but thats just me. Its better if you find someone with HPTuners around you and have them tune you. You can and will get better results

Trying to work something out with wickedss2005 on the cobalt forums for HPT. Hes coming down to a meet in Nashville I'm going to. The problem is if I have enough time to get my turbo off, send it in for the upgrade, get it back on with the other bolt ons before the meet.
BTF is running 1 week out currently on the wheel upgrade. So if all goes well, this next week I'm yanking my turbo (about a 4 hr job).

Well Tampa Bay (close to Term) is 12 hrs from here, Nashville is 1 1/2 hrs and the guy can street tune it at the meet As far as the fall edition headlights, they don't look as dark on the black HHR's as they do all the others. There should be pictures in my gallery and I ordered mine through gmpartsdirect as they only took a week to get, most everyone else had them on backorder.

Hell yeah a street tune is sick much better than a dyno tune. And yeah i saw the pics and they look sick. Im gonna grab those headlights because im not about to paint my stock ones. I wjust want a nice change so the headlights dont stick out as much as they do considering that my car is black on black on black lol

Make sure you order some chrome turn signal bulbs to go with the fall edition head lights if you want the clear look, otherwise your gonna have orange showing in there.

If your going to do a turbo upgrade I would get the Stage kit and do HPT on top of that. There is more room with those Map sensors for boost. Warranty is a tricky thing. One they can void warranty just because you abused the car and not because you are modding it. If you mod it and drive it hard every now and then, I doubt anything bad will happen or fail. Most of the known failures haven't even been with the drivetrain but interior items.

BTW, whos doing the KO4 mod and how much? Oh and like bart saide, look into getting a spec 3 clutch. Thats my next mod as well.

Already have the GM stage tune installed, been boosting 22-24 psi since last fall It was 24psi in the fall and dropped to 22psi over the winter, but still holds it rock steady. BTF is doing my upgrade, just waiting for a warm day this week to tear it out. Warm being 40-50 out instead of 30
