Bought H& R 1.5 IN lowering springs some while back --It put the front end just where I wanted it . But the rear still had too much of a gap between ffender well & tire to suit me .
Then I bought a pair of 2 in springs from Old Blue - they are fine but Im still not satisfied - I would like to go another 1 in. at least - By what Ive read here 3 in drop springs are not made for our cars .
Is coilovers the only answer - I really didnt want to spend that kind off money for them especially since the front end sits right where I want it .
I contacted coilover depot & they said they dont sell just 2 . I also researched cutting a coil but found out you cant cut this style of spring with the pig tail end .
Any ideas -- anyone have any used coilovers -- ??

I asked my spring suspension guy, he said a good spring shop might be able to wind you a 3” lowered rear spring.

If you go with a spring with that much drop, you will have little or no suspension travel left. Or most likely, "bottomed out".
With those springs you would need custom shorter travel shocks and some other "tweaks" to things like brake lines, fender liners, jounce bumpers etc.

yea I realize the smart thing to do is bags or coilovers but just trying to message the height down in the rear a little more without spending a fortune .
If the 3 in springs are not too expensive ,I will probably give it a try maybe with drop shocks with bump stop cut -- if not satisffied , will put the ones I have on there now back on -- Crazy car sickness isnt it & Im in my 70,s LOL

 

If you trim the bump stops, then you may need shorter shocks. Not sure how much you can take off the bump stops before the stock shocks bottom out first. If the stock shocks were to bottom out, it wouldn't take long before they blow out.

 

Just got a quote back from Spring Works -- would be a little over 600.00 for the pair -- not doing that --thats approaching a full set of coilovers for that price -
Oh well I might just put 6 bags of sand in the rear
