Turbo Heat Shield

Hello All,
I recently purchased another SS (my 3rd now...). I'm slowly erradicating it of the check engine codes (cam phase actuators, wastegate solenoid, etc.). I have a missing turbo heat shield, and it has definitely fried all the wire loom for the windshield washer pump above it, so I want to get that replaced ASAP. GM has discontinued it already. It is the same part for all the LNF cars GM made, but I cannot find one anywhere and my local u-pick salvage yard has plenty of HHRs, but no SS versions. My question is: has anyone had any luck with a heat blanket like this one;

The K04 turbo is very common, and they claim this fits it. Just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with them?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Robert

Just as a side note, I believe this turbo is running hotter than normal because of a vacuum leak. My bypass valve doesn't appear to be opening when the throttle is chopped close (sounds like a turkey that is missing its voice box...). I'm not getting a CEL code for an electrical issue with the control solenoid, but I am getting a mechanical code (can't remember the code off the top of my head right now). I am going to pull the vacuum accumulator tank below the throttle body and check that out.
