I just quad toned mine....well two tone w two different stripes dividing the two tone..check out the picks on my page. I'd post them but not sure how to drop them in this thread

Though many associate "two-toning an HHR" with painting the whole upper half of the vehicle, you can just do the roof if that suits you. I did the rear valance too:

To further tie in the two-tone, red & black theme, I've painted the center rim caps (bowtie red, caps black) and blacked out the SSes. They're not in this pic...one of these days I'll get around to taking updated photos.
