I have driven rear wheel drive vehicles my entire life. I am an engineer, but real life is different than text books of course. Is the sensation I feel when I hear that lovely whistle (in 2nd and 3rd gear going up an on-ramp at WOT) and hit bumps, and my steering wheel jerks HARD....torque steer? I have the LSD, and I never "burn rubber" but it feels like I ran one wheel into a deep rain puddle.

Well you can call it that but it is different from what I would call "true"
torque steer. The pull you feel on the steering wheel when you are at wot
on a smooth road without bumps that cause a loss of traction is torque
steer. The SS is quite good with that compared to the Dodge turbo small
cars. In my car that is quite mild. But what you ( and I ) have experienced is the loss of traction, the LSD transfering torque side to side trying to maximize foward traction, and the resultant "bump" steer that you feel.
I say "bump" because true bump steer on the SS is very good. If you are
not at wot, just cruising, and u hit a bump, any change in steering u feel is
bump steer and it is quite small in SS.

What and I are feeling at wot when power overcomes traction and LSD
intervenes is a pull induced by traction loss at ea of the front wheels
as LSD is working. Some may call it torque steer but most would call the
pull you feel BEFORE the wheels lose traction , torque steer.

If you haven't already, you might want to try competition mode as well. Relaxing the electronic stability control intervention levels makes a big difference on mine. While the immediate pulling to the side when first flooring it is more pronounced in comp mode, everything else feels a lot more natural.
