Went to the track. SS 4spd.

Wasn't 100% sure how the Auto SS would run. Just based on general feel, I figured it would run somewhere in the 15's. I was pretty much bang on.

Got 12 runs in, against all sorts of cars, and Im sure surprised alot of them. Bone stock, 3100kms, 30 degrees C. at 2350ft elevation.

Time....60ft....trap

15.471....2.502....89.06 win
15.753....2.719....90.83 win
15.466....2.457....91.81 win
16.702....2.808....79.07
15.586....2.524....90.07 win
15.574....2.491....87.88 lose
15.553....2.520....89.82 lose
15.509....2.477....88.29 win
apparently I ran a 2.006 with a 0.00 60ft at 0mph win?
15.328....2.370....88.12 win
15.388....2.373....89.94 lose
and I lost the last one to the Srt-4 and they ran outa paper.

Maxpowerspeedshop here in Medicine Hat put on the races, in an effort for them to put the Sport Compact Class in. There was 26 cars. Even a good showing of spectators. Other than one dude with his Sylvia running 12's. (Noone was within a second of that) And of course an NA sprint running 20's, but he was there 'cause one of his buddies signed him up lol. Most running low 14's to mid-high 15's.

Good benchmark stock runs I think.

Oh and boo to the 3/4 tank of gas I had /smack

Good times.

I tried every which way I could. Im no track expert by any means, so more practice will obviously help improve things. It was getting better as the night wore on. I hadn't beat on the SS in any fashion until tonight. As stated good starter point.

The auto is capable of high 14's if you could pull 2.0 60ft times which is possible. I would like to throw some 18" bfg drag radials on there and brake boost it all the way up and see what it runs. I bet we would be surprised in the times.

Don't forget the auto doesn't have limited slip.

Mrmaasta: Good job enjoying the SS. Those are good times for the auto, compared to the mag test, you are right on with those well practiced drivers.
