It's a pretty complicated process from what I understand. That's probably why no one has done it yet...

in side i a small cone shaped filter....the air is pulled in thru the flex tube to the left of the box from inside the fender well into a cone shaped filter thats yellow in color then into the turbo im in the process now of finding 2 45's or a 90 so i can get rid of the box and plumb in a CAI this cone is 4" long all that wasted box for a 4" cone what a waste

thanks for the honest answer, but the gerbil, is that the clicking?
LOL!
I think a nice ram air box with a sloped scoop leading to the front is the way to go, and maybe a nice blackwing filter like the vette uses...oval and about 10" wide 4" tall

That's because it's an enclosed system that sucks only cold air. If you care about performance you don't want to suck hot air from an open intake. I know a guy who dynoed and lost 19 lbs/ft of torque with an open intake vs the factory enclosed system. Then again, if you want something that looks pretty and full race and don't mind some performance loss then go for it.

It is just a series of screws and clamps, not difficult at all.
