Winter wheels/tires

Hello all. I know it's July and we are a long ways from winter, but being a new owner of an HHR SS, I like to be prepared and on the lookout for deals, etc. regarding winter wheels/tires.

First question... Can I run the stock LS 16" wheels/tires on my SS? I imagine everything is the same and my car is an automatic, therefor it does not have the Brembo brakes.

Thanks in advance everyone!

Brian

On a non-Brembo SS? Yes you can.

really good time to buy winter tires. Big discounts.
But a small number of winter wheels in stores diminishes the enjoyment.

Good news for me as well. There's lots to choose from in the Cobalt world...

IF I were ever to autocross this car, I really wouldn't want to be buying "purple crack" in 18" sizes.

So will any 5x110 16" wheels fit the SS with the stock brakes?

Those sound cushy for the winter should work very well.
