I bought my 2008 HHR SS in 2015. The original owner had it from '08 until '13. He sold it to CarMax and they sold it to the second owner who had it for 2 years. I finally was able to get in touch with the first owner in 2016. So it had been three years since he had it. I told him I was the current owner. And he told me all kinds of things about how much he liked that car. and how well he cared for it. And he mentioned that it was always garaged in a large building which had HVAC! Oh talk about the life of luxury!! So we talked on and right before we got off the phone, he said he really missed that car and wished like hell he had never sold it.

Another case of seller's regret.

Too, bad he didn’t offer to buy it back! No that would make you remorseful for selling it.

And I'm afraid he would have bought it.

dooscoop- Very sharp, & I'm thinking the original owner used to be a member here.

He very well could have been. He is from the northeastern area of NC. He was really high on the performance these little boosted engines made. And when he bought it new, they were hard to get. He had to get this one from a dealer in another state because of that. But he was determined to have one.

I had a quick look in the archives, the sunburst orange thread and SS thread , I didn’t see any 2008 SS photos with the SS badge in the lower driver’s side area of the grille.

Well, I added the SS emblem to the grille. At that time when he had it, the calipers weren't painted either. The 2nd owner did that. In fact, it would have been a totally stock vehicle when the first owner had it.
