Wow, I'm Excited

Went to the dealer today and ordered my HHR SS. He said it could be here in as little as four weeks. Has anyone gotten their SS from the factory that quickly? Also is there any way I can track my order online?

I drove one Tuesday, and I will have to say I wasn't that impressed. Well, wasn't with the power, but loved the braking, tightness and handling. Though I really think our 2.4 could beat it out of the hole, it was an auto and the turbo lag was aweful. At 30 or so the feel was better but, maybe I just expected much more. Just not worth trading in our '06 and getting a bigger payment, trade in values on HHR's are aweful.

Just under 6 weeks for mine to come in from order day. No way to track online, but your dealer can give you updates such as date order accepted, preferenced, sheduled build week, actual built date, and shipped date after its shipped, and then if by rail, the day it arrived and is assigned to be trucked. Thats if your dealer is a good one and cares to check daily or weekly for you.

Maybe you wen't impressed cause you are used to the Typhoon. The auto I drove, in rain, seemed peppy, but I went with the stick and its night and day better, IMHO.

Hey TurboTim,

I ordered mine 3 weeks ago, was told it would take 6-12 weeks for it to come in. Got a call from the dealer this week that the car had been built and was on it's way. Should be here next week, maybe the week after.

Was wondering the same thing about tracking the order, but could not find any info on it.

True that the Ty is the mother of all launches, but I really tried to keep my mind clear from that comparison. I was doing HHR/2.4 to HHR/SS. But, really it goes back to the trade-in payment basis. I hope all the new SS owners enjoy theirs. Maybe next year we will look again.
