Right because ripping off a companies design is ethical and acceptable in the automotive enthusiast community. There aren't many companies that make parts for our cars how bought we don't take away their revenue and make them stop.

They engineered the intake to fit it isn't like you need to "check to make sure" so you are obviously trying to copy the design and if so good luck on your own.

im actually not copying there design im just curious to what is currently working as i have been working on CAI for the past little bit and i keep on ending up with either positive or negative ltft and cant seem to get it right but the way mine pipes to filter is different then there, instead of sitting in the engine bay it sits in the fender well like a cai should

Premiere07: Ha! If you think one company does'nt rip off designs from another, then get your head out of your anal orfice. It happens time and time again my friend. That how designs get better, take one and improve on it, and if it's copywrited, then change it up at least 20% of orignal design, and go for it. It's the nature of the business. "Moon"

He told me about that intake didn't SSA make it with Him ? I the zzp guys do such good work why did Kissmy08SS have to cut on his lower charge pipe to make it fit ? Maybe back to the drawing board.

Because the lower CP was designed for a Cobalt's LNF, which isn't optioned with an automatic trans.

On your beloved HHR, the auto transmission and mounts changes the engine's orientation so much within the engine bay, that the lower CP nor does your standard downpipe fit as it does on a manual.

Get your facts straight there, on a manual HHR that lower CP bolts right into place.

I've spoke with Shawn via text throughout the whole install and I'll admit it's something I didn't think of at the time, nor did Steve @ ZZP and I apologized for such many times to Shawn.

Wonder if a Hahn will have the same problem, maybe no one makes one to fit the auto. Since my dealer made that bracket for my lower worm, I have had no problems with the rub, I might just leave it that way.

I only changed the pipe for stage sensor orientation purposes, if it's not broke why fix it!

Don't know if Hahn will fit one onto an auto, ZZP does have a local here with an auto HHR SS too. I'm sure he'll progress to getting charge pipes and they'll be able to do fitment. Amazing as I have a ton of clearance between my engine and fan as where Shawn had none! Disappointed I overlooked that, but never was a thought when him and I had spoke.

I am hoping the new forge valve will straighten mine out. Maybe ZZP can use kissmy08ss, input to make one for the auto's. There aren't that many potential customers, not sure I would worry about it. At least now we know there's a bunch of difference in the two models. The auto's are much faster.....
