Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement (w. pics) - P0010/11 P0013/14
Sorry to hear you ran into problems, however two posts with the same issue in it makes it rather difficult to follow. And of course without any code being read and posted, there isn't anything constructive to add from this end. But I assume you disconnected the neg post of the battery during the install of the solenoids?
p0010 error on 2012 chevrolet Captiva
Hi i have read this great thread and i hope u dont mind going over my situation. I have a 2012 4 cyl chevrolet captiva. Check light came on and was told i had error P0010 . The mecanic requested I buy the sensor which i did. And guess what ? light came back on and got the same error. He checked for reference voltage and ground which he states is all good. Now it has a rough idle and it jumps when pulling out.
Now here are my questions...
Could i be having the same issues as this thread?
If so how do i know which of the two are bad?
If i wanted to test them how do i go about doing this.
I hope someone can help me out ....
Thanks

It is always a good idea to tell us what engine/age/mileage you have, it does make a difference. For instance; this entire thread does not apply to a 2.2L engine in a 2007 HHR LS.
I have absolutely NO idea if it applies to any engine in a 2012 Captiva!
