Cleaning window switch contacts
Had a window stuck down last night so I put a bag over it in case of rain. (I've had weird window switch issues for years)
Came into work this morning and watched this video. Door panel was already disassembled so I went down and grabbed the switch. Cleaned up the contacts with a couple alcohol pads.
Window is now closed. :)
With the window up, it gives me time to get some cleaner to clean all the switches.
Thanks, as always for saving me and making it easy. This site is the best!

I use CRC contact cleaner, it wont harm electronics or plastics, I just spray into the switches with the tube , jiggle the switches so it gets in everywhere, spray some more to help wash it out, jiggle some more until I think its enough, shake it out real good and let it dry a bit. Usually works really well, but if it doesn't fix it the switch is usually shot beyond repair. But anything is worth a shot to try and save a few bucks as you never know what youre getting from a salvage yard ( and sometimes worst than what you already have ) but still cheaper than buying new until you have to bite the bullet.
I just happen to find this on You Tube.
For those who are handy and have this issue you can give it a try.
