Now, I've never looked at my HHR headlights or taillights, so I don't know how they're epoxied together. But, based on experience from removing the amber corner bezel from my Tiburon, what I did there was literally put the headlights (or taillights) into the oven for 10 minutes at 150 degrees. Heat up the lights to make the epoxy holding the item together gooey and soft... then PULL them apart. Once you're done working, get some silicone, put a bead along the edge and squeeze them back together.

Again, I've not looked at how the tail lights are constructed (since I've only owned my HHR for 5 days now), but I was wondering if this is an option? It certainly would be better than cutting into the lights.

Has anyone tried to clear the headlight turn signals? Remove the amber?

Question taillight removal...???

How did you remove your taillights from the car??? is it easy? Hub has an idea he wants to do and I'm wondering how he's going to remove them...

To remove the tail lights you have to open your hatch and remove the little access pannels behind your tail lights. THen there is some sound deadening rubber that I removed and then there are 3 nuts to remove on each light. ITs not hard at all.
