*New 2010 HHR owner*

Howdy all,

Well I never thought I do it, but I traded in my sweet, but gas guzzling 06 Ram Quad-Cab for a leftover / demo 2010 HHR LS with 21K miles.

So tell me if I did good on the deal:

2010 HHR LS out the door including some negative equity in my trade.

I took it for $13500.00 OTD

But then I got to thinking, even though I got a remaining factory warranty, I decided to get the 5yr/100K bumper to bumper ($100 deposit) extended warranty for $1200.oo

I also got GAP insurance.

So new total out the door was $14,800 and some change.

Do I get a "Deal or No Deal"?

WELCOME!! Congratulations on your new HHR! The HHR is definitely a lot different than your truck, but I think you'll really like it. I absolutely love mine. I think the HHR is one of the coolest looking cars around.

Depends.....

The issue is whether you got the vehicle you wanted. I have the 2007 equivalent of the hottest HHR currently (as in 2011) available, 2LT with all the trimmings (except auto trans that I don't want). If you are OK spending years with the less optioned version with a smaller engine and softer ride, then you should feel satisfied.

Welcome I agree....went from an HD2500 Silverado to my HHR, $$$ in gas savings and it's just fun to drive. Wow, bit of a backhand slap there.
Sometimes we can't get exactly what we want, but with this website, you can find sooooo many mods to do to your HHR. I feel like a kid again trying to customize my ride. Having the smaller 2.2 is probably better for me, specially with all the motor cops sitting in bushes here in so cal.
Enjoy your new ride.....a good deal only matters if you feel it was.

Congrats on the new ride, you'll love it, they are a blast to drive.

I didn't buy mine new, it's an '07 with low miles, but it looks like you got a good deal on yours with the warranty and all.

NO DEAL...I also traded my diesel guzzeling 06 crew cab F250 on an HHR on May 29th. Brand new 117 miles, out the door for $14,900, LS model, 6 months of XM, 1 yr of OnStar(which I hate), and full size spare...no other extras other than the rear mat they they threw in that was out of a used HHR on the lot.

Welcome!
As for your 'deal', beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I happily paid full MSRP ($23,000) for Hharry in August 2005 when you couldn't find any HHRs and some dealers were charging an additional premium.
