[QUOTE=TkHHR;393703]Welcome Al, We have a pretty active bunch of HHR owners here in SoCal, we hope you and your wife will come out to one of our events and hang out with us. We have a burger/omelet run scheduled for this Sunday July 5th in Fullerton. We would love you both to come. I know this first time is scary, but we rarely bite! Plus you can get your SoCal HHRs decal and then you are in.

Sounds like fun! I will talk to the wife unit, and see what she thinks. I know we have plans this weekend, bur hopefully soon. So explain to me what a burger/omelet run is...

I really like the vehicle a lot. Honestly, this is our first New purchase American car. (Honda/Acura until now) We both had some beaters as kids, but nothing like this! What I really like about the HHR is the folding seats in the back, and the dash. Very nice for not a lot of money. My wife hated the window controls 0n the 06-08's, but she's not worried about it with her '09. :) What I like the most about our HHR: The awesome 2-tone paint. At first I thought it was a little too loud, but the more I look at it, the more I dig the purple pearl highlights. Very cool.

As for tweaking it, my wife wants a purple driving wheel cover, and a stubby antenna. We saw the one on eBay, and I read somewhere a '08 cobalt antenna may work too. Also lotsa nice stuff at hhrboutique.com. She also wants a custom plate too.

It makes me happy to see her so happy. She's wanted a new ride ever since she graduated nursing school, and this weekend she got her wish!

I swore my only mod was going to be a $20 stubby I won't tell you how much I have spent so far.
We don't see many BFM's around, it is a cool color!

What Tim meant was we are meeting at our usual spot for brunch--so if you want an omelete, you need to get there before 11 am, or else you get a burger.

These are the kind of g2g's we have--toss out an idea and next thing you know 10-12 HHR's show up!
