Cobalt SS Owner Here

I figured the best place to start would be to introduce myself here.

I'm Dan. 25 years old and from Pittsburgh, PA. I don't own an HHR, but I do own a 2006 Cobalt SS. My car is not the supercharged SS, but rather the 2.4L SS equipped with the same LE5 as some HHRs.

My car has a few modifications: intake, exhaust, HPTuners tuned, springs, wheels, some sound system upgrades, and some visual modifications. I've installed two different turbo setups on the car. One was a custom Turbonetics setup with a T3/TO4E hybrid turbo. The other, more recent setup, was a modified Garrett setup with a special GT3071R turbo.

I do have a little bit of knowledge involving tuning and whatnot. I can certainly help out with turbo questions. I'm especially knowledgable on the LE5. As I understand it, a lot of parts from the Cobalt actually fit the HHR.

Finally, what would an intro thread be without pics?

And for giggles, this is a vid from the Garrett setup running 8psi:

Nice wheels. Glad you can fill in with some insight.
You might want to cover up that lower on the front with some mesh. I hate crap that flies around on the highways nowadays.

:Welcome: Dan, nice Balt!
I love the wheels, what are they?
I believe we are a cobalt friendly group here, as you said, there are many common parts...
Also, nice work on the engine.

Thanks. There was mesh in that lower opening, then we removed it during the turbo install while fitting the intercooler. It's since been replaced with new mesh. I just don't have updated pics...

Thanks! Those are 18" Enkei Evo5 wheels in gunmetal. I <3 those wheels.

No. I bought those from a vendor. I did, however, fit HIDs into the projector assemblies.

Yup, welcome. Im actually a member of the local cobalt club as HHRs apparently dont warrant their own up here in Toronto.
I wish they made projectors specific for HHRs, I dont think anyone has seen any.
There are a few 2.4 owners here looking to get some more out that engine, you input will be welcome Im sure.
