Welcome.

Got to find out more about this 'chip' business. Your's a 2.2 or 2.4?
Let us know how the chip works out....

thanks for all the welcomes.
Marshall, mine is a 2.2...the idea was to save gas as my suburban was killin me!
I ordered the chip from a place that advertises on this forum so we'll see how it works. never tried a chip before, always kinda seemed like hocus pocus to me, but then again, I'm pretty much old school when it comes to horsepower. I will keep you posted.

Unhappy

Hello All,
This is my first post. I have had my HHR since 2006, it was one of the very first. It is black, and customised with Aerosmith logos.
I am unhappy because it froze up, I couldn't get the key out of the ignition, had to pay $90 for a jump start. Come to find out this is a known problem with HHRs, a problem in the gear shift stalk, lever, PRND, and ignition assembly electronics. It is so well known, the dealer had all the parts on hand to fix it. My question is then, if this problem is so well known, why isn't this a manufacturer's recall? My HHR has over 100000 miles on it, so it is out of warranty, I had to pay $300.00 to the dealer for the repair. At Christmas.
Other than this, it's been a pretty reliable little car, but it does not hold the road in the snow. It is definately what my father would have called "a hog on ice".
