Cool Gas Man from SE, Michigan - 2010 SS

Well my real name is Chris. I'm on many other motorcycle forums as I have been into bikes for years. Use to be big time into cars till bikes. During my anti-car time, I did nothing but lease cars/trucks/suvs, which I did nothing to during my renting time. Last one is/was a TBSS. Now I have the HHR SS. So far I love it.

I'm in the petro industry, hence the screen name. I'm happily married to a great woman that also rides her own motorcycle. I ride, wrench, and enjoy all things biker. I'm a big picture taker of everything. I think my chopper build was 2000 pics... blogged on a forum.

As far as bikes... I did rockets for a while and barely survived.

***Had to pull my IMG tags due to the picture police. Guess 800x600 is TOO big.***

Needless to say I'm into bikes. Luckily I'm in good with the neighbors. Cause I'm constantly wrenching on all kinds of them...

So that's how I roll on 2 wheels. But now I'm into the HHR SS since I've made you endure this long.

I ordered my 2010 HHR SS with the 5 speed, performence package, and dealer installed stage 1 kit. I just so happen to be at the dealership when it rolled off the truck, as you can see in the background.

2 days later it's in the driveway with the TB SS (which will get turned in soon).

I have been lurking around here for months befre my order and ever since as part of my "homework" I do for all my rides. So far I have done the stage 1 at the dealer.

Throw in some nice new DDM HID kits

Fog lights 35W 6K

Not sure why they came out green in the pics... but they are brighter than the sun

The wife named the car the "Silver Surfer". Thinks it looks similar to a "california surfer van" style. Plus it goes with the SS and she likes the movie Fantastic 4. Whatever, it goes well for everything besides the movie piece. So I named it. Right in the center tail light. Was simple. Sorry for the bad black berry pic, and if you're in the car behind it, you don't see that slight red outline. But I couldn't get a good pic unless I got this close.

Not bad for the thing only have 1200 miles on it now. But it's been officially broke in my way. Even had the oil changed at the dealer (1st one free) last week. Next one and the rest of them I'll do with Amsoil (being I'm a dealer).

So far I love it. It's the perfect change from my gas guzzler TB SS, with a smaller tighter suspension, easier to cut thru crazy michigan traffic and about double as good on mpgs.

Guess I need to work on getting some better posed shots of the HHR now...

Next on the dockett for the HHR is a set of sway bars, more specifically the rear. Which I'm miffed that TTR quit making. A high dollar adjustable should be another option not a replacement.

I'm debating exhaust. Been leaning more towards the Magnaflow cat back. Something a bit louder with a nice deep tone.

perhaps as well some new air intake/turbo/intercooler tubes with a K&N air filter.

I try to keep in mind that I want to do everything in moderation. I'm not looking for the most power in the world, but something to keep the blood pumping as I just showed my buddy on an exit ramp at about 130mph thru a decent highway turn. He was impressed.

And in case you're wondering... yes I still have the 2 SS's for now. I think the stage 1 HHR will take the TB in a light to light scenario. However, on the highway, the ole rule "No repalcement for displacement" still holds at this point.
