Greetings to all from Rockvoid IL
Signed on a couple of days before I and the woman took delivery of a former rental 2009 2LT w 11k miles.
I poured through just about every thread here in advance, stoking the lust and checking the TSBs on the potential new baby. What an awesome resource of knowledge!
Silver Ice Metallic (although I saw somewhere "Switchblade Silver" which sounds less geriatric for the description of a rather boring color), most all the extra bling bling - no XM, Bluetooth, nor USB - but the Chrome Package, AT, leather fronts w heat, Pioneer, sunroof, The build shows "Compass", but so far, no go on the location of that...
Luckily, Grandpa, 425 miles away, cosmically knew to wait until we got the HHR before passing less than a week later at the ripe old age of 106. So we were road ready - rather than taking the oil burning 2000 Saturn wagon w 71k miles on it. We did the return trip on E85 in his honor. Since he was a retired Iowa farmer, it was the thing to do. The round trip was a dream...
Lastly, when prepping the HHR for the roadtrip (Walmart 72" x 36" carpet and velcro, removing the armrests, thanks to this site), my next door neighbor walked over and said, "You got one too? I got mine two weeks ago and I LOVE IT!" to which I replied "Huh? Where is it? Are you keeping it under wraps?" We worked each other into an HHR lather - he got that sexy Sandstone - I told him about this site, so hopefully he'll slide in to join as well.
Sorry the intro's so long. I'm going to check out some pics now, since before I didn't have permish.

Deuces: Freeport... ah, yes-- I played a gig there once, but the lead singer was so gone on drinks and valium by the second set on a Friday night there that the owner said "don't come back" back in the glory days when bands played both Friday AND Saturday nights at the same club. Give a toot at Alpine Rd when you swing by on Bypass 20...
Thanks, @ngelita - I guess my mirror is strictly stripped and I'll be posting a Q re that over in the appropriate slot...
Big Kahuna: My sis-in-law hails from Joiseyville. Never been there, tho...
Thanks to all for the welcome and to Sindy Dix for finally busting me in here! (BTW, the white grill on Casper is freakin' sweet)
I've got a scheme for a grille right now I'm calling "The Floater"...
