Although I don't own an HHR, I am on the verge of ordering an '09 HHR Panel SS.

However, I've been reading on these boards that there have been numerous production delays in regards to the 5-spd transmission, and other issues which have caused long waits for ordered vehicles.

Hopefully, a knowledgeable reader can set me straight.

I would like to take delivery of my HHR SS Panel in the spring after all the salt has been washed off the roads. At least I can enjoy driving it for a while 'til it snows again.

About me: I'm a 55-year old teenager who hasn't owned a "performance" vehicle in many years. My passion is dirt track stock car racing (hence the screen name).

the reason for the order delay for the 5 speeds has been from ordering the programable performance display, its not available for some reason.......I'm a 57 year old teenager, you got to get one of these,most fun car since my 70 LS6......Welcome to the forum great people and info.

I would think its better to find one on a lot thats as close as possible to what you want. The dealer wants to get rid of it, you get it sooner. There are a lot of factors that could delay it for weeks if you order.
