Hello!

I just picked up a 2010 HHR SS a few weeks ago and so far I am loving it. It is Victory Red, G85 5 speed LSD, Brembos, etc. Just about to hit 80k miles and is in very good shape aside from some pretty bad rock chipping on the hood and rear fenders near the doors. I really am enjoying the car more than I thought. I originally purchased it as I was looking for a reliable daily and it was what my budget allowed from the dealerships in my area. I paid $8300 for this one. Only issues I have had so far were the sunroof adjustment bolts being loose, some whining from the transmission area (thinking throw-out bearing), some small front suspension noises and a very inconsistent shifter feel. Here's a few pictures! Glad to be here!

Welcome to the site, lots of information available here, like lubricating the shifter cables. Sounds like you found a good SS

It's more likely an adjustment of the shifter cables.

I misunderstood this on page 2 post #17, but apparently new shift cables are now available

If the cables and the shifter itself check out good, then look into replacing the front engine mount.
I replaced mine many years ago with the TTR mount. It "tightened" up the feel of the shift pattern under a load. It keeps the engine/trans more secure in the engine cradle.
