Cool Hello

Hi. I've been lurking for a while now but I finally made an account. I bought my 2011 1LT during the Covid lockdown as my first ever car and I have fallen in love with it. The HHR was on the list of all time favorite land vehicles I had written up a while back and I was hoping to get something off of there as a first car. I had test drove a local 2010 for reference (to be honest it had some issues), and after not finding anything that caught my eye I drove 300 miles to test drive mine. Ended up buying it. She's got fairly low mileage for her age, should hit 90k within the next month or two, and was somewhere in the mid to high 70s when I bought it. I absolutely love the car, and I make sure to keep her running at her best. That said, there are things I'm going to do to it, like install factory fogs and seat heaters, maybe even try to track down the old gmpp parts (I actually found a few new old stock intakes surprisingly but the exhausts are nowhere to be found). Anyway I'm glad to be a part of this community and I plan on keeping the car alive for a very long time.

Welcome, GMPP air cleaner boxes are pretty rare, one or two have been here for sale, the exhaust was made by Borla, they had a clearance sale several years ago, they might have 1 or 2 leftover, contact hellshotrod for heated seats controls
We need photos of your ride! We love pictures!

I'll take some fresh ones tomorrow that include the spot on the bumper where I accidentally ripped the top coat off. Thanks spirit week decorations. They were only on for a day and a half. I'll send that pm thanks for letting me know. A few other projects I want to do are rear power connections like in the panel van, a map pocket on the passenger seat, maybe try and find a mirror that has both the backup camera and a compass, I know the hummers had one not sure what else did, but yeah mostly little things so far. I did impulse buy a nos 2-way remote start kit a month after getting the car because I read on here that despite being removed from the service manual it comes up in gm's database if you plug in the 2011 model year. That's just an experiment I'll try if I can find a friendly dealer to program it. Worst case scenario I sell it.

I think 2011 remote start was an option. They were winding down. If it was originally a rental it could have been deleted. Look through the personalization menu of the DIC; if there is an option to turn it on/off it is installed and the salesman lied.

There is a page of instructions in the 2011 OM does your key fob have part number 15114374 on the backside of it?
