Hello, I'm new.

Howdy all. I just got my SS last saturday. I've been driving an '86 Chevy van for the last 5 years. It got cashed for clunkered. I'm sorry if I'm babbling, but I have some ?'s. Who makes a good cool air intake for these? Is it worth it? I am having the stage one installed soon. Tried a launch the other day, WOW, probably shouldn't do that much. How hard on the drivetrain is the extra power from the stage one? Well, I'll leave ya alone for now. Fun little buggy. Thanks for any info.

congratsand welcome

K&N makes an intake that replaces some parts to the existing intake and is supposed to be good for 10hp...for $293 i'm not buying it...is it worth it, well i guess that is in the eye of the beholder. oh and they are the only ones who make an off the shelf kit. as for the extra power with the stage kit, the trannies handle them fine, just go easy on our clutch if you have a manual.

hope you have fun with your new ride!
