Well....the story is....

Im not so standard russian guy and one of my hobbies is export US cars to Russia It is not serious business for me, speciall for now, when Russian custom taxes absolutely highest in the history and no one here in Russia want to buy cars from US for now. It is very very very expensive! I have US dealer license and working on Manheim auctions to buy and export cars remotely right from St.Petersburg. So I learn and know US cars market few years. My HHR was not first car bought by me in US and second for my own (2004 first was Chrysler Sebring). First time I saw HHR model in 2006 and it was make deep trace in my heart. But here in Russia custom taxes become more cheapest when cars 3-5 years old, so I waiting 2 years and then got this nice item at Manheim for my own.

While I wait 2 years I have many attempts to find alternative model to fit my requirements, but all attempts were failed. So now Im strongly sure that this car is all that I need for now.

The dings.... On the way from US to Finland (most popular point of discharge oversea shippings) the car has no any defects and condition was on score 5 from 5. But in discharge process bad finish dockers made this big ding on right front door The big log was drops from some truck right over right door. It was unbeliveable but true. After this issue I waiting three months while finnish insurance company give me money satisfaction. All this three months my car was stored in Kotka Sea Port Wirehouse and I can't get it

The other ding on left rear fender is myself activity Just at second week after start riding I think the reason is just new size of car for me Big pole was stop my rear moving unexpectedly. I was shocked again!

Now I start thinking how I can repair this dings here in Russia. Think it will be difficult to find good repair man, especially for rear fender. As I understand, this is not takedown part, right? Sure also I need to order Right Front Door shield in US, here is unavailable But from other side, russian rapair shops can do a candy from any scum :) So will see in the future!

But anyway, it is really nice to drive the car. I always get real pleasure to ride Many glances on my HHR every day while I go to office and back also is cool piece fo now :)

Thats it in few words. Thank you all for attention and sorry for my english.

I just knew there was a good story behind the cars history and your purchase. I'm sure you'll find a good body man and knock out those dings in no time. I'll be interested in how you match that paint using Russian toners. Thanks for sharing!
