Hello! From Tennessee!

Hello, my name is Paul
I am new kinda new here. I have been reading your post for a few years on and off and find them very helpful and entertaining.
I had a 2009 HHR SS that I bought new and totaled back in 2019. I had every intention of fixing it but had to move from Washington state to Tennessee.
I stripped it completely, kept everything except the body and rear axle and now bought a 2011 LT.
Now I want to build a clone.
who can guide me?
Thank you in advance for your help

What do you mean exactly "clone"? If just looks the front and rear bumper covers and the grille and running boards/side skirts and badges and wheels. Then you can rip someone off by selling it as a SS.
The suspension and steering and brakes are not interchangeable. Switching engines would be cheaper and easier to just buy a SS.

What I mean is, I have the engine, trans, front suspension, brakes(except rear), all the wiring, computer, rack and pinion, steering column and even the abs system.
I'm not interested in it looking like a SS or selling it afterwards. I just want to use my SS parts and have a HHR that I can enjoy again.
I appreciate the question though.

The SS parts will transfer over to the non SS body, you’ll need to uses the engine cradle from the SS , find a replacement SS rear axle beam or disc brake swap . The ECM and BCM and wire harness will have to be used as will the steering module , SS steering column and a bunch of other parts

theres nothing you can do that can’t be done! It’s easy!

Thank you Oldblue.

One that cloned an SS panel way back when, I visited him and bought the interior out of the 2LT donor car, he was going through all the boxes of SS parts , now when he did his parts were available that are obsolete now, 15 years later. He bought a rear SS panel that I was just about to buy, as far as I know he still has that also!

Need Intercooler. The cradle and auto trans should be the same. Steering knuckles and ball joints and sway bar are different. Rack & pinion and steering column are different. Brakes and ABS are different. TCM and ECM are different. Exhaust system is different.
If you have the cradle attached to the engine/trans/suspension/struts it should be close to plug and play

Welcome to the site.
My opinion is it’s more trouble than it’s worth trying to put SS parts in a LT. You say “clone” but it wouldn’t be.
I would suggest you find a SS in need of an engine or other major repairs. You could probably find one pretty cheap. You seem to have most of the mechanical parts for a rebuild of a SS.

There's a guy in Ontario that recently fully cloned a full panel with an SS donor and a white LS Panel body. Everything. Interior, bumpers, harnesses, suspension. A white SS is Striking. I always thought they shoulda offered the SS in white.Striking. He posts on a FB HHR SS group
