Figured now I would say hi... so... Hi.
I have a 2008 HHR. I am looking for tips on getting a bit more ground clearance out of it. I spend a bit of time on dirt roads and some arent well kept.
I do a lot of camping, mtn. biking, hiking and kayaking. Any tips on car mods (cheap if possible) are welcome.
The only thing I have done so far is add wind deflectors for the windows and a temp roof rack. I am looking at replacing the grill (for looks) l and bumper cover (darn thing is too low, I keep getting it caught on things...)
I also plan on slinging a hammock on the inside from front passenger side to rear driver side.
I will also be using QuickFists to mount an axe and shovel on the inside of the hatch door.
On the outside I am thinking of adding some "rhino liner" (or similar) to the outside ground effects and the rear fender where the stickers are pealing off.
that's the gist of the car and my plans for now. I have some little stuff to fix also. maybe replace the radio. nothing too fancy.

Only lifting method I've seen for these trucklets is spring rubbers, not highly recommended
