Hi guys....Need Advice on "new" HHR

May be buying 06 HHR with 61K miles LT w/ Leather /Remote Start/ Dealer says its an 2LT but I don't think so. No running boards, No moon roof (thankfully) No luggage rails, No On Star,

THIS

http://www.palmettochevy.com/Vehicle...-SC/1909107633

$9500 OTD...

Bad Deal? What issues should I be looking for at this mileage? Struts?
car has new tires.

Here are the details

Trading an 08 Tacoma TRD OR 2WD crew cab with 31k mikes They are giving me $9500 back.

Carmax offered $19000 cash for my truck. I put about 3500 mikes a year on my cars. My bike is my main form of transportation.

I wanted something smaller to put in the garage with the bike and the wife's Rav. Better gas mileage Taco gets 17 MPG) I am not sure about trading a Tacoma for the HHR even though I rarely used the bed. Good Low BB on the Taco is $19000.
So I figured with the miles I drive and all that money not being used I should cash out and get the HHR...I have the title on the truck and always pay cash for cars and bikes.

Appears to me to be a 2LT, since it has the 17" wheels and the 2.4. Check the option code sticker on the glove compartment door for the FE3 firm handling suspension. If it has the FE3, it's a 2LT.

You think ($9500 OTD) is a good price for such a high mileage vehicle?

HHR777-

In addition, I believe the '06 models got boards put on at the Dealer (if buyer wanted).. I know sunroof was an option.

Look for leaks at the front struts & rear shocks. Now is time to find anything & wheel & deal..

Any oil leaks under it ?

Test drive it & use the brakes on a good stop, & see if it stops smooth..

Does it pull driving ?

Any issues, have them fix it for that price.. That's my .02 fwiw.

I test drove it and it pulled Straight. Did not see any oil on the lower moter. (Unlike a PT which had caked on Dirt on oil. CarFax looks clean.

The front end was kind of "bumpy" over bumps . It is a Chevy dealer so I am a tad more confident they are not going to put a bad vehicle on the road. I did ask how much struts would cost...(about $300 a wheel)

The problem is trade in value is about 5800... They won;t budge from 9500 OTD. A dealer let me walk today on an 09 2LT with everything with 70K They wanted 11970 for this

Prices suck here..My bro sent this from NJ But I don;t want to go over $10K OTD on one.

CarFax is only as good as what was reported to it.. (not trying to scare ya)..

Dealers are gonna make theirs $$

Always worth more when Dealer is selling.. Trading in, not so much..

Dealer or not, look at everything you can.. Dip stick oil look clean ?

Auto tranny has no Dip Stick

Power steering is electric motor. A/C blows Cold ?

Stereo works good ?

Etc, etc, etc..

Looks pretty clean to me, thats about 8000 miles a year, it should get a premium price, believe me I had to pay a premium price for a 08 2lt panel with 27k on it. Love them heated seats !!!

Decided to pass on this. I could not wrap my head around paying 50% of MSRP on a 7 year old Chevy. Need to find a better deal.
