Cool Introduction: Also some questions!

Hi everyone, My name is Aaron. My wife owns a 2007 Chevrolet HHR LT Majestic Amethyst Metallic w/ the Gray Cloth int. I do like the car very much for daily driving. A little tight at the knees since I am 6' 4"

I also have my car a 2002 Trans Am that I race, where is some info if interested......

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/easter...ay-new-pb.html

So anways, she warped the front rotors due to heavy braking and I was wondering, other then EBC Rotors and Pads that I saw through http://www.summitracing.com are there any other places and products that I can use that are high quality and will resist heavy breaking

Aside from High temp grilling paint, anyone else use kits from the Eastwood Co. that is brushed on?

Thanks.

There have been many concerns over warping of the HHR brakes. The stock ones don't seem to appreciate heavy braking. I cant recommend any relacement ones, as I still have the stock ones on my '06 HHR and I am real easy on brakes.

You can try to do a search function as to what others have done for replacements and problems that others have encountered.

Like with all website I have done that, nothing of value. But I did come across using grill paint for the roaster pan and calipers etc etc.

Thanks for the insight.

For rotors, checkout R1Concepts....

Mine are still rockin' after 20,000 miles.

All the model years use the same front discs...excepting maybe the SS..

Awesome help guys, thanks!

Are the rotars coated to resist rusting such as Zinc coating. I will send them an email but using your exp, do they rust out at all?

Yep...Zinc coated....no rust on mine. Obviously, the Zinc will wear off
on the actual braking surface, where the pads contact.

NOTE - I did have the rotors machined before mounting, to make sure that
they were true.....but then I have always done this.
