2.2 hhr

To answer a few questions. The HHR is a 2.2, I had an after market exhuast put on friday. I went with a magnaflow and 2 1/4 pipe all the way back to the cats with a gibson tip. I bought my car from the Pontiac dealer off of Speedway. And, yes let the mods begin.... Thanks to all!

who did you use for your exhaust work? I have a muffler (magnaflow) to install on my HHR, still sitting in box. I don't think I'm going to change size of exhaust pipe, I just don't think it will make much of a difference on that small of an engine. Plus, I never intended for it to be fast! If I wanted a fast car, I wouldn't have bought an HHR. I also have a 72 Chevelle Malibu work in progress, and a 66 Chevy II Nova for cruisin'

I use Arizona Radiator and Muffler. I have used them since I started driving. I went with 2 1/4 inch pipe since the stock pipe had a nice size dent in it. The guy just suggested to go with larger pipe since he was already there. The pipe, muffler, and tip only cost $200.00 including labor. Heres a new pic of the car with the 18inch rims I just got. Yeah, the 2.2 is not fast by any means, but I love the car already. I not worried about speed either. I had a 1996 saab turbo with a lot of mods, so I got that out of my system early on :).

Make it another from Tucson....my wife and I both have 1LT (2.4L) HHRs. Bought her 2006 (45K miles -- no issues) from Oreilly and my 2010 from Watson in June. Mine is Silver Ice Metallic. I have added the stubby antenna and ghost flames.

holy cow, another Tucson member? Wish I could find more Nova owners locally that belonged to a website. Anyhow, do you have pics of your car? My 09 is Aqua Blue Metallic, the only upgrades I have done so far is lower the rear 1" using Cobalt SS rear springs, aftermarket rims, installed tinted window rain guards, and switched out the body colored door handles for the brushed aluminum fininsh handles. I also will be swapping out the rear hatchback panel (body color for the brushed aluminum finish). Soon I will be swapping the aftermarket rims to a set of Wheel Vintiques Rallys that I have had laying around for some time now. If you know of anyone interested in some nice, sporty looking 16" aftermarket wheels, I soon will have some for sale.
