Just joined from Ohio

Picked up a 2011 LT w1LT 2 weeks ago. 99,000 miles. White. Basically a GM person, 1st vehicle I've acquired with more than 2 doors. I'm 76 and retired. Been looking/watching the HHRs' since when they first came out. My other vehicles are a 98 Z28 and a 07 Cobalt coupe.
So I'll be lurking here and learning.

Congrats and welcome!

I like the white HHR's, had a white '08. Your '11 is a different color white though.

You'll find your HHR has a lot in common with your Cobalt

That's one of the reasons I bought it, had a 09 Cobalt coupe and have the 07 Cobalt coupe.
A 'gearhead' friend had 2 Cobalts and now he has 2 HHRs', both 08s'.

Oh, and I've been a 'gearhead' all my life after high school. Graduated out of high school right into the 'musclecar' era of the 60s'. After retirement, worked part time in the mornings at a Tuffy automotive center. The 09 Cobalt I had I replaced (on a lift at Tuffy) the rusted fuel line and the right side strut. The Camaro Z28 I have has 191,000 miles on it, 12 trips from the Cleveland Ohio area to Florida, mainly for the Daytona Turkey Rod Run in November. The Z has 4.56 rear end gears and a Yank SS3600 convertor, for street fun.
Only thing we found on the HHR at the dealer was a broken right rear spring (on the lift). Typical of Cobalts and HHRs'. It's not making any noise and it sits level so there's no rush in replacing that spring. Front control arm rubber bushings were ok, very little rust underneath, a relatively new exhaust system, and the fuel line looks to have been replaced.

Rear springs are cheap and easy to replace. Finding the spring seats can be challenging, if they are needed.

I'm in Ohio not far from Cleveland and I may have a pair of discontinued Moog rear springs you could use. PM me if interested.
