Looking at HHR SS

Have been snooping around here for awhile and thought I would say Hi. Looking at replacing my 04 GTP Comp G becasue the miles are getting up there at 164K and a SS looks like it would be a good replacement. Going to look at an 08 GM certified one this weekend. Hoping it has a stage one installed. If it doesn't can anybody recommend a dealer in West MI to do it? Thinking maybe Berger or Wenzel. Would like to get the Crate Engine Depot one with the plug and play harness.

Welcome to the site.

The plug-play harness is the way to go. Had my GMTU for over a year now and no issues.

WELCOME from Michigan

'59 vette

I can't help with your question but good luck with your endeavor. You are going to love that HHR SS. I am 20 minutes from Lansing.

Welcome!

I would recommend an aftermarket tune over GMS1 anyway. If you are out of warranty, then I would definitely say save some money and have a better tune. Trifecta for example is at least half the price, and depending on your options, 1/4 of the price if you have a laptop

Don't let a dealer talk you into cutting wires.
Cost the same also.
Welcome aboard

Welcome to the site, I would use aftermarket tune , like Badass say's if the warranty is gone.

They are a little more fun at 300hp.........

Thanks for the info. Haven't made it to look at the car yet, but it will be under warranty. It's GM certified, which gives me a little piece of mind about it.
Also I've used HPTuners on my 99 Vette, anybody using HPTuners on their SS?
