My 1st Post - Been a Member Since 11/08
Just saying hi for the 1st time. I have been a silent member since November, 08. My posting and interactive abilities on the website were never activated because of the ISP that I use would not accept activation e-mails. I did not know how to overcome this problem until very recently. Needless to say but definitely worth a mention, thanks to HillsdaleHHR, ChevyMgr and SindyDix for some virtual tech wizardry, my access was adjusted, so I now have a voice (not so sure if it's a good thing for everyone else, but we'll see).
But the time I spent at the site was not lost by any means. It actually had measurable value. In the months that I was only able to monitor the posts, I was also shopping for an HHR, which is why I signed up in the first place. I gained a great amount of knowledge and technical information from you fine folks. This contributed on my shopping savvy for my HHR as well as helping me zero in on my trim selection.
Although I was not able to celebrate my purchase with the group, I ended up taking ownership of a 2008 HHR SS on March 13, 2009 that only had 6k mi on the odo. Black on black, 5-speed (MU3), limited slip (G85), and sunroof (CF5). I found that living with and driving a vehicle such as this will make an enthusiast out of anyone. And a twinge of jealousy from a buddy with an Audi A4 2.0T with a "measly 210HP" (bugs him how my "bread truck" can kick butt on his "fine, European touring machine"). The digs are all in fun. The Audi's a beautiful machine as well.
Now I just need the Stage 1 kit that I have seen everyone post about.
Thanks for accepting me into such a positive and informative environment. I'll catch up with all of you in the threads (and possibly the G2G's).
