My new 2009 HHR

Hello from a newbee, Two weeks ago we bought a new Victory Red 2009 LT HHR. The dealer had two new HHR's advertised for the same price of $14,300
on the internet after all rebates. One was a 2010 LS and the other a 2009 LT. We decided to go for the 2009 LT, liked the power drivers seat, other then that and floor mats the two models seemed about the same (both had automatic, remote start and fog lights). Couldn,t really tell what else is different between the LS and LT.
At first I was not quite sure about the Victory Red color, felt like I was
driving a fire engine, but now the color has grown on me. I planned on adding a cargo rack at the dealer but was quoted a price of around $600.00 which seemed expensive. Has anyone used a soft cargo carrier and just tying the straps to each other trough the inside of the car? I thought of tying each strap through the loop of upper the seat belt attachment. It fits fine, but not sure if that is such a good idea.
Each day I like this car more than the day before. I has taken me awhile to get used to the smaller windshields. Really enjoy my HHR. It's really nice to have a site like.

Welcome. There's a great thread on here for installing roof racks on a DIY. I'm waiting for my racks I ordered on Ebay and I'll be installing. Read the DIY and I'm sure you'll do it yourself also.
Again Welcome and Enjoy!!!

Welcome...

Another possible difference is the motor, LS has 2.2 & 1LT can have that or can be ordered with the 2.4... Now the 2LT comes stock with the 2.4 & many goodies..

If you are not sure, under the hood will tell which motor, & on the glove box door will tell the rest..
