Hey everyone, not sure if you guys have a "Welcome Thread" for new members but my father recently purchased a 08 HHR SS, pretty fun car to drive around, seems like the car already has some very minor mods done, just joining to learn move about the platform. I personally have a WRX right now & looking to upgrade to a Evo X soon. Please move the thread if if it's not in the right place mods, Thanks.

Can you share some information about the potential mods, and maybe a photo or two?

 

lol. Didn't think it would be the right spot. I know for sure it has a K&Y air filter & box in it right now but that's all i'm SURE about. I haven't had much time to spend with it since it is my fathers but plan on doing a bit of work to it, just to make sure it stays fun. Just a quick question, do you have to upgrade any fuel lines,pump, system, ect. To put it on corn? I know the Subi's & Evo's do but not 100% on little little machine. Or if anyone can point me in the right direction to start some reading?

 

Unknown on the Corn question. Though I would think it would be bad for the health of the SS to do that.. Prefers 91-93 Octane...

lol. It has little more "umpff" than the SS but SS has more of a "fun factor" than it. at least in my head it does. :)

It feels more agile, like I could just toss it around, kinda like a GoCart with a turbo. :P It feels super light compared to the WRX, or maybe i was just excited to try something new. ha.

 

Another question, are you guys completely against "Promoting" another forum? I'm signed up with another forums that's growing pretty well, it's pretty much Evo X based but we're trying to get other "boosted" cars into the show. We don't discriminate against any cars & very open. But if it's again your guys rules i'll leave the name out & delete this post.
