Cool New HHR fanatic

Hello eneryone, new member here and first off. I would like to say that I'm glad that I was able to run into this site. I recently bought a used 2011 red HHR, and instantly feel in love with it. I'm really looking forward to customizing it. Maybe someone can direct to some great accessories for my new ride.

HHR site

Welcome,
I actually bought my HHR because I went to this site first and no one had any thing bad to say about the vehicle. The worst complaint was that the arm rests on the front seats block the cup holders in the console.
I have not been disappointed at all. What a great little car! You will enjoy the car and the site. Welcome again!

Welcome! I am celebrating the 2nd week anniversary of our HHR purchase and are headed to our first car show with it today! At this point it is all stock but it still will fit in with the classics around it. Just had it detailed yesterday so it's shinin'! Have fun with yours. We are!

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new(to you)hhr. Look thru our vendor resources link at the top its full of great retailers who honestly have about as good prices as I've found. Biggest improvements that any hhr can benefit from; springs, our hhrs are based on the cobalt platform so one common way to vastly improve handling and get rid of that jacked up rear end stance is cobalt ss springs. 05-07 ss/SC lower more than later turbocharged cobalt ss models, I used the ss/SC you can see my pics in my gallery. It also improved braking, vastly improved handling and my ride quality is better than stock. You can pick these up new from gmpartsdirect.com or used from many sources such as our classifieds or check Ebay or cobaltss.net. Alternately its a little more but you can look into springs from pedders Aaron at turbotech racing sells those, and while you're there check out the TTR rear sway bar. A rear sway bar is probably the second best mod you can invest in. performance wise check out some of the vendors who offer cold air intake or drop in filters, exhausts, and the biggest help a good tune or ecm upgrade. Many here like hptuners, but its advanced, I know the trifecta tune is also very popular as many here swear by it. Exterior mods can be found at several places online, id say look for depo headlights ipcw taillights, wheels can be found fairly easily. Good luck :-)
