New HHR Owner, but weary....

Hey, new to this but enjoy reading what all of you have to say and checking out all of the pics. First I love the HHR , the looks, the ride, the size and second I've already had it into the shop for a minor "computer" issue. So after reading a large part of the posts here I am a but weary on my purchase. Any of you felt that way and was worried for no reason and then the love just grew and grew, well not "love" but increased admiration towards your ride? Looking forward to the site and all who roam her.

We all have, sorry you had an issue. I have an 06, and it has never been in. They are good cars..and you will love it! we all have a few quirks with the car, but that is to be expected. Don't make them like they used to! You will love the car and this forum! Todd (Uma)

every car has it's ups and downs and you usually just have to hope that you're not the one that gets the short star and has to go in for problems early on.

Besides having my wipers out of alignment and rubbing on the hood (check that, when you put your wipers up, do they touch or clear the hood, if they touch, go in and get them adjusted) mine has been a champ. Handles great (even better after i added the TTR sway bar) rides great for the distance, and when i'm not in my mileage killing town, it gets great mileage.

Welcome! I wouldn't worry. Coming up on 1 year with my '07 LT and not single problem. Well, OK, one -- the spring came off my gas filler door release. A 30 minute fix at the dealership. That's the only thing in one year and 25,000 miles! Hope you love your HHR as much as I love mine!

JUST NOTICED .... this was my 1,300th post! Man, I gotta get a life.

Of all the posting members here, I've got possibly the 2nd oldest HHR, only beat out by a week by fellow member oneton. Being such an early build date on a new model, I had some reservations, and had to have my HHR in for a few issues. But, I would do it all over again!!

to the site! These cars are pretty well designed & built, but like anything, some could have an issue or two. You will grow to love your HHR more, as it's one of the few cars today that give you that warm, fuzzy feeling!

I also have one of the early builds (05). My 06 has went in for the early A/C growl and fixed quickly and the side impact headliner upgrade recall. That's it.

Most people seem to say first year models have more issues, but I actually think the later ones seem to have more issues.

Mine had 2 computer issues within the first month. Both were fixed (replaced SDM and BCM modules) and it's been great since! No regrets with the purchase. Well, I do wish I got the red one instead...lol
