New HHR owner from MO

Just got the wife a Silver '09 LT with 2.2 auto. Went down to Branson this weekend and it's about 4hrs each way. Man this thing is a blast to drive.

Been on here checking out all the mods to do and have already added the running boards. Don't know what's next maybe wheels but we'll see.

I'm into old trucks and the HHR fits the look that I like. Have always had a thing for panels, but the wife didn't want one for a daily driver. I'm currently working on a '56 Chevy panel truck that is airbaged and sits on the rockers.

Later,
jared

All HHR's here come with the running boards. They were added as standard equipment a couple of years ago (corrosion problem). Maybe US HHR's are built different.

The boards became standard on the Canadian HHRs starting the 2nd production year.

I remember they were adding the boards under warranty to remedy a corrosion problem and then finally they became standard equipment. On my 09 LS I also added black molded mud guards contoured to fit the fender. They actually don't look too bad and can easily be removed. Secured by metal screws and j-nuts into existing holes through the wheel house liner.
