Arrow New HHR owner - Seattle, WA!

Hi.. my name's Kidron (pronounced Kid-rin, not RON... just an FYI) and I live in Seattle! 2 days ago I purchased an 06 Silver HHR LT. I look forward to learning more about this vehicle as well as utilizing this website and these forums for help, information, and fun!

I have some things to research, such as a problem with the radio. Problem: It does not turn on! Bummer. The car was a great price though so I figure it shouldn't cost too much to fix, right? My step-dad works for GM in the service department so I am sure he can take a look. Anyone know where to order an owner's manual? I didn't get one. And my key fob is being ordered, so I don't have it yet. Everytime I unlock then open the door the alarm sounds, until I insert the key and turn on the engine. Not a good sound at 7:00 AM! Plus when the heat/fan/de-frost is on, it (being the console, not the vents) makes a strange w'hirring' noise that is kind of annoying. Oh, and I need an alignment as it pulls to the right. This is bad when its raining in Seattle and I'm going over potholes. Gotta use both hands on the wheel! Like driving a semi when that happens... lol.

Other than that, I love it!

I previously owned (well, I still do) an 02 chevy cavalier that I am selling, if anyone is interested.

Anyway, hi!

Here's an owner's manual on ebay.........owner's manual

Until you receive a hard copy, here's a link to an online manual........https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...97&postcount=1

As for the alarm going off, until you get your key fob, just manually lock the doors (push down lock knobs), that way the alarm will not be turned on.

Congrats, and good luck on your new (to you) ride.

Oh thanks for the tip! Something funny, though... while I can't lock the doors or remote-start with the fob, I discovered yesterday that I can in fact unlock the car. ??? Weird.

Thanks! I named my HHR "Silver Hearse" because when my girlfriend first saw my mom's 09 HHR (black) she thought it looked like a hearse. I found this funny, so this is its name.
