New HHR SS Owner
Hi everyone,
Just bought a 2008 HHR SS on Vetrans Day. Has just over 41k miles now (already drove it a little over 1k miles since purchasing). I really love this car, it is so much fun to drive! Just changed the oil and got up close and personal with the under cariage. Noticed the clunking from the front sway bar but will be addressed later.
The HHR has the factory upgraded turbo but completely stock otherwise. Was originally sold in Connecticut but small town dealer I bought from drove it from Pennsylvania to California where I happened upon it. Have been following the HHR for a couple years and when I saw this one come up for sale, had a serious talk with the wifey. We had a 2003 Silverado SS and after weighing in the plus/minus of having the truck vs. an HHR SS, the HHR SS one out. Trade in the truck and now the proud owners of an HHR SS.
Great site here, love the info and everyone seems so helpful. I'm in California, SF Bay Area (East Bay). Haven't seen too many HHRs and I think I saw one HHR SS like mine but no badges on it. Maybe I'll pass them again :)
So, down the the specifics:
HHR SS
Flash Blue
Manual 5-speed
Factory upgraded turbo (done in January '10)
Premium Stereo (is that stock?)
I think that's it, everything else is stock to the tires (previous owner bought stock michelins, not sure why). Happy to have found other HHR fans!
