New member, first question...
Hi everyone,
Im coming from a TrailBlazer SS (which is for sale) and want to say hello to the community! With that being said, I know how annoying repeated questions can be as a result of not searching first. However, I have a specific question, which I can't seem to find via search.
That is, does anybody know if and/or how common sensor failure is on our SS's that're stock, if we get a tune from ZZP per se? I don't have the GMTU and thus have the 2.5 bar sensors. I can't seem to find any info on how pertinent a sensor upgrade is. I don't plan on doing anything aside from a tune.
Thanks for any help and sorry if this is in fact a repeated question.

Sensor failure is not very common but it does happen. Some say the sensor upgrade is not needed for tuning but as cheap as they are I would do it. That way you know your engine will always be registering the correct map.
Welcome from Rogers City

Only certain ones complain about not using the search. I rarely use it and thought this is what the Forum is all about.
I can't answer your question though.
I will recommend the Trifecta tune from CJ Krause.

should keep the TB SS , that way you have a nice family of SS's!!
either Trifecta or HP tuners for the tune, superchips and gmtu are ok for a tune
would definetly get the 3 bar sensors if you tune, more control over the boost that way
also core the second cat on the stock DP, there is a thread on here about it, really helps open these buggies up
PS what are you asking for the TB/SS?

Yea, that was why I was asking since the sensors are only $100. Ill have to look into the cat coring. I really don't plan on putting too much money or time into this car like I have others, I just wanted something fun and economical mostly. I wish I could keep the TBSS, but its only gets 17 MPG on a good day and I can use the savings in gas and payment for a house. Here's the listing for the TBSS:
2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS
I'll more than likely be dropping the price to $18,500 thought due to no bites :/
