Hi everyone!

I'm in the process of buying my first HHR. And here's the background (if anyone is interested) in how I've landed on the HHR as the vehicle for me.

First of all, I don't believe I'm your typicial mid-50s woman. No kids, divorced and now looking to minimise my foot print on the world. I didn't want another house after my marriage ended, so I bought a 35' boat (1985 Chris Craft Catalina) in 2012 to live aboard. Decided living aboard in the winter was not my idea of a fun time on Lake Ontario. (Some people do it in Toronto, I'm not one of them! lol ) I was renting an apartment for a few years. I decided this year to really downsize and get rid of the apartment, all my furniture, etc. Living aboard the boat in the summer, renting furnished house in the winter. My goal is to get down to owning ~100 items to survive (ok...maybe 200 because of clothes and the items on my boat! lol).

I currently have a Pontiac G6. And it's just not big enough to hold my soon to be 100ish worldly possessions, so I started looking at vans. umm...nope, traditional vans are just not my style...at all. And then I came across the HHRs. I think they are the best of both worlds. Cargo room and they don't look like a typical van.

I also need the HHR for my new career as a Registered Massage Therapist. After a 35 year bank career, I was downsized. So I went back to school to become an RMT. I should be licensed and practising by February. The HHR will be an excellent vehicle to support my small business, should I chose to do a mobile massage therapy practice. It's a real head turner!

Thank you for all the HHR information you have supplied on this site. It's really helped in my decision.

hhrlei :)

Welcome!

My wife was a bank manager until a merger downsized her after 30 years. But, luckily the bank had focused on employees 50 and older. We won the age discrimination class action case. And they didn't notice certain clauses in her grandfathered retirement package from previous mergers.
