I just picked up my first HHR. A Daytona Blue Metallic 2006 LT with the appearance package. It has 111,000 miles and seems to be in great shape. Any initial advice? The primary reason I bought it was to flat tow behind my motorhome. But, I'm starting to feel like I may need to "pimp it out" a little.

Welcome to the site, there are many modifications you can add to pimp your ride! Custom wheels, headlights, tail lights, weather guards, grilles and much more. It depends on your taste and of course budget.
Something simple like ditching the factory plastic hub caps and painting the 18 hole steel rims, adds a custom look

Welcome to the site. Thanks for joining our community.
And we love pictures.
Especially those with an HHR in them.

Before you pimp it out, go through the suspension. The lower control arm rear bushings and the sway bar end links are usually the first things to wear out. Struts and springs, and rear shocks and springs would probably be next. Of course, you'd have the brakes inspected, especially to adjust the rear brakes at each oil and filter change.

Wheels from another GM with same bolt pattern are nice!

Very prudent advice !! It's no good if it is unsafe to drive, but looks cool.
